North Whidbey Parks & Recreation District: John Vanderzicht Pool Expansion Feasibility Study & Cost Analysis
Oak Harbor, Washington

ORB Architects, now part of INNOVA Architects, designed this aquatic facility in 1981, but the community had outgrown it and needed to double its size in order to meet the present needs. They felt that adding leisure components and expanding changing areas would allow the facility to serve a broader audience, from children to seniors, while creating additional revenue. We completed a feasibility study, conceptual design, and pro forma analysis to provide the decision-making information they needed to move forward with plans. The project was completed on time and within the budget.
